Chinatown Partnership Local Development Corporation (CPLDC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, serving the Manhattan Chinatown, with a mission to act in the public interest by conceiving, designing, implementing, managing, and facilitating economic development projects that benefit residents and organizations in Chinatown in New York City as well as the general public visiting the Chinatown Area through qualitative and quantitative researches, marketing and promotions, and capital public improvements/projects. CPLDC was incorporated in 2004 as a start-up organization created from the ground up to unite residents, business owners, and community groups to rebuild Chinatown after 9/11, and to preserving the neighborhood’s unique cultural heritage. Over the past two decades, CPLDC has grown into one of the leading promoters and service providers for small businesses, community event organizers, and local collaborators with higher education institutions. CPLDC works closely with more than 1650 storefronts with services and research strive to improve the economic and living environment of local Chinatown residents. In FY2025, CPLDC collaborated intensively with local artists to activate public plazas and to produce innovative storytelling books, films, and documentaries. Through Chinatown Community Land Trust, CPLDC continues its efforts to advocate for affordable housing ownership in our community.
