The Chinatown BID is delighted to partner with NYC DOT to host “Trick or Streets” 2023 as it returns for the second season.
“Trick or Streets” 2022 was a huge success as it brought together the communities and provided a first ever Halloween experience in Chinatown. As the tradition continues, the Chinatown BID aims to mark the second annual of “Trick or Streets” as distinguishable by not only bringing local residents and youths to enjoy this car-free Halloween experience safely, but also to further promote local businesses and the Chinatown community as a whole. Utilizing open spaces in Chinatown spread the awareness of diversity and cultural tolerance.
“Plenty of things can be scary on Halloween, but our streets shouldn’t be one of them,” NYC Mayor Eric Adams said on Twitter. “Trick or Streets is back, and we’re hosting wickedly fun events all month and offering Open Streets on Halloween night for safe and fun trick or treating.”
“Trick or Streets” day of activities and programming include trick-or-treating, circus performances, DJs, game and photo stations, freebies to giveaway, and many more yet to explore. The event will take place on Tuesday 10/31 from 3pm to 8pm, located at Pell and Doyers Street in Lower Manhattan.
Volunteers are also encouraged to sign up. For further information, please contact us at our email info@chinatownpartnership.org or call 212-346-9288.
