Join Brandon Jew, chef and co-owner of Michelin-starred Mister Jiu’s, and co-author Tienlon Ho, for a conversation about Chinese American food and history and their new cookbook, Mister Jiu’s in Chinatown: Recipes and Stories from the Birthplace of Chinese American Food, hosted by Priya Krishna, New York Times food writer and best-selling cookbook author.

As we’ve seen Chinatowns across the country struggle throughout the pandemic and anti-Asian violence on the rise, the heart of this book’s message of resilience is even more resonant. These recipes are a delicious reminder that beautiful meals and memories can be created, even during difficult times, and especially when we reach across cultures to find common ground.
