Chinatown Beautification Day 2021: Community Renaissance

This year’s theme is centered around “Community Renaissance,” meaning we hope to explore the revival and growth of Chinatown as our community recovers from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Particularly, we want to highlight prominent speakers and individuals who represent the spirit of Chinatown best—and what better way to do so than celebrate and highlight the contributions of our many small businesses. Taking inspiration from the spirit of the term “renaissance,” we hope to orient our event around the revitalization of Chinatown through different avenues of youth activism, and build a generation of organizers who explore social justice across areas—through politics, community building, art, and beyond.
