Now entering its 13th year, Make Music New York, “the largest music event ever to grace Gotham” (Metro New York), is a unique festival of 1,000+ free concerts in public spaces throughout the five boroughs of New York City, all on June 21st, the first day of summer. MMNY takes place simultaneously with similar festivities in more than 750 cities around the world – a global celebration of music making.
Performance Schedule
3pm – Emily McNally is singer/songwriter from South Jersey and is currently based in Manhattan. Her music genre is piano pop, and her lyrics are heartfelt and written in a storytelling style. Emily’s debut EP, ‘Small Town’, is a collection of five songs inspired by and dedicated to the town where she grew up and the memories created there. Emily’s recent performance credits include the famous Bitter End in Greenwich Village, Manhattan and NYU’s Ultra Violet Live at Skirball Center.
4pm, Annie (Yu Rong) was born and raised in Huai Nan City in the An Hui province of China. She has performed at many Chinese music venues.
5pm, Adel Ardalan, plays Iranian/Kurdish music on Tambour (an ancient middle-eastern lute). In his spare time he dances the Argentine tango and trains for running/triathlon races.
